About The Founder

Renee Huff traces her love of horror to experiencing Wes Craven’s The People Under the Stairs as a teen. Feelings of fear, hope, repulsion, and a car-wreck-like curiosity, came and went and collided within 102 minutes of frightful satire. Horror for Huff became the embodiment of being alive. The macabre, her go-to even for relaxation—a tradition she maintains.

Whether fate or luck, the passionate Huff launched her career at Simon & Schuster where she created marketing and promotional campaigns for bestsellers of horror, suspense, fantasy, and paranormal genres including master storyteller Stephen King, Kresley Cole, Adrian Phoenix, and V.C. Andrews.

“Where Imagination Kindles the Flame to Creepy Cool Storytelling” - Renee Huff, Founder & CEO

Huff became a savvy and accomplished premium TV marketer and sales professional who increased the number of viewers, tantalizing them into watching and keeping the channel. At HBO, she strategically marketed robust digital and social media campaigns for multiple Emmy® winners Game of Thrones, True Blood, and Boardwalk Empire as well as blockbuster Hollywood movies and HBO’s signature documentaries to major distributors such as Verizon, AT&T, DirectTV, and Dish.

When Huff left HBO for EPIX (initially a partnership between Viacom, MGM and Lionsgate), she seamlessly transitioned her relationships with the major distributors, and her strategy experience to encourage viewers to tune-in to the service’s original series and popular movie franchises—The Hunger Games, Mission: Impossible, and Spectre from the James Bond series.

Looks Creepy Cool was already in the works during Huff’s last role as a television marketer with PeopleTV, the streaming network launched by PEOPLE and Entertainment Weekly. She shifted her talents to promote celebrity-related fare—interviews, LIVE red carpet award shows, and developed new ways to promote  other programming to distributors such as Samsung TV Plus, Pluto TV, Xumo, Tubi and Roku. Huff’s  partnership marketing expertise and brand collaboration skills has been a dynamic and enriching experience. Over the years, she has honed her abilities by working on various projects and forging meaningful partnerships within the entertainment industry. Leveraging her network and understanding of effective collaboration, she successfully engaged with prominent brands and industry leaders to create impactful partnerships. Her strategic approach to partnership marketing, cultivated through diverse experiences, has proven instrumental in creating a compelling and memorable experience for both the audience and collaborators involved in Haunted House FearFest Film and Video Game Festival and The Looks Creepy Cool Podcast.
